If you’re new to the Association of Test Publishers (ATP) conference series then by visiting the next European (E-ATP) conference, you are in for a treat. This event blends borders, roles and sectors to focus your attention on assessment both in Europe and abroad, helping you to take a moment to reflect on the innovations of others, and to share your own. Designed to have something for everyone, this is not a technical conference, nor is it a dry lecture, it’s an engaging opportunity for people from all backgrounds to come together with one underlying objective: assessment, and how it can enhance education.
There’s plenty to take in at E-ATP, as the conference draws a truly international crowd from both within and outside of Europe. With very diverse problems, solutions, ideas and desires, many attendees will be looking for the perfect solution to bridge skills and knowledge gaps in young people preparing for the workplace, or indeed to bring an existing workforce up-to-speed. Real problems, with real solutions.
There are five key strategic themes set for the Dublin event, which are:
• Gaining Advantage through Assessment
• Operational Best Practice
• Meeting the Challenges of Testing
• Leveraging Assessment to Realise Talent
• Innovations in Assessment
For more detailed information on each theme, you can visit the E-ATP conference official programme page here: http://www.eatpconference.eu.com/programme.aspx
There are plenty of ways in which you can contribute to, or take insights away from the event. Some highlights include:
• A diverse choice of breakout sessions, product demonstrations, and ignite sessions. [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ignite_(event)]
• Cutting-edge keynote presentations from distinguished industry speakers.
• A huge number of opportunities to network with colleagues and peers, offering an unmissable chance to learn and share.
• Vendor exhibits showcasing leading testing and assessment tools, technologies and services.
• Hosted evening events – for when the days just aren’t long enough to squeeze everything in.
2015 will also see the return of the ‘Hackathon’, giving you a chance to show the E-ATP community your real skills and launch a brand new certification program.
If you’re new to the concept of a Hack Day, you’re in safe hands as six teams will be created to challenge each other in a collegial learning environment with participant skills ranging from newcomer to expert. In this master workshop class, your voice will be heard by three industry leaders, as well as numerous other peers giving you a chance to learn and impart your own experiences.
The Hackathon is a perfect opportunity to collaborate with others and put your newly learned skills to good use, in a fun, relaxed environment. You’ll learn from industry experts about how to create a high level certification program business plan, before presenting it for critical review in a relaxed atmosphere.
If you would like to be a team leader for the Hackathon, entry is now open so please get in touch with the organisers via Twitter (@EuropeATP) or using the details on the E-ATP contact page (http://www.eatpconference.eu.com/connect-contact-us.aspx) to register your interest as soon as possible.
E-ATP is the perfect opportunity to mix with people who are setting the stage for the future of testing in Europe and the world.
BTL Learning & Assessment will be present and supporting this event, we strongly recommend you clear a space in your diary to be there too. Registration is now open!
