Built to meet the growing requirements for highly scalable, secure onscreen assessment solutions, SecureAssess provides the next generation of technologies for the delivery of online and LAN assessments managed from one central web-based application.

Utilising the lessons learned from delivering huge numbers of onscreen tests, from both high stakes and formative/diagnostic focused assessment projects, BTL has identified a number of key failings in the systems currently in the market being utilised for onscreen delivery. SecureAssess seeks to meet these and future requirements, by using the very latest technologies and offering a full set of open APIs for the easy integration and extension of the system.

• Comprehensive reports and charts from a dedicated and separate web-based data warehouse. The data warehouse also provides a web service framework to allow for further enhancements of reports and exports (such as candidate progress, results, usage etc.).
• Modular and flexible architecture that allows for simple integration of new functionality and enhancements and caters for different configurations between projects within the same organisation.
• Candidates can be registered to more than one exam centre/school.
• Complete integration with BTL's IB3.1 system.
• In-depth cohort management capabilities.
• Includes a "Human Marker" interface for manual marking of all candidate responses (including free text) with future capability to incorporate other technologies as they become available (i.e. automated free text marking)
• Comprehensive support for accessibility built into the candidate's assessment experience to include zoom text, contrast and font changes and tab navigation capability.
• Designed to support candidates self registering and paying for assessments.
• Supports all question types, from simple multiple choice to interactive virtual environments.
• Supports instant feedback to candidates.
