BTL Power first Scottish onscreen Higher and Standard Grade Exams

In a significant milestone for e-assessment, BTL this month powered the first onscreen National Higher examination for the Scottish Qualifications Authority. Utilising BTL's Exambase delivery system, and its award winning Content Production Application, ContentProducer, BTL worked with the SQA to develop and deliver the first onscreen Higher and Standard Grade exams to be delivered in Scotland.

Whilst this first set of exams was run for a group of 120 volunteers in 10 centres across Scotland, SQA believe that onscreen assessments offer significant benefits to both candidates and staff. David Falconer, SQA Project Executive states "SQA is delighted with the success of the recent on-screen assessment pilot in our Biotechnology examinations. This now provides a platform for us to extend the range of our examinations available to candidates as e-assessments".
