An exemplar assessment created using the Surpass® Assessment Platform has been awarded with the Accredited Plus award from the accessibility charity, AbilityNet.  An application awarded with Accredited Plus has been tested by people with a diverse range of disabilities and complies with WCAG 2.0 AA. AbilityNet accessibility testing is undertaken by a broad network of genuinely representative disabled consumers who can provide an authentic account of the key issues they encounter. Any issues identified during the review procedure have been subsequently resolved to provide ‘real-life accessibility’.

The exemplar assessment contains a variety of questions which were authored using ContentProducer™, the Surpass Platform content creation tool, and is delivered using SecureAssess®, the Surpass Platform on-screen delivery system.

BTL has successfully completed the process of becoming a partner of Microsoft through the Microsoft ISV/Software Solutions Competency.

ContentProducer (BTL’s content creation tool) and SecureClient® (a program that ‘locks down’ the candidate’s desktop when sitting an e-Assessment) have undergone rigorous testing processes and have met the stringent standards that Microsoft demands of its software developer partners.

BTL utilise the latest technologies from Adobe, such as Flex®, to build and deliver highly engaging on-screen assessments and learning content.

In particular, BTL’s content creation tool, ContentProducer, one of their core products, has provided the learning and assessment market with the ability to easily author content and questions that are then rendered in Adobe’s Flash player. ContentProducer has won an award from the British Computer Society for its innovation and flexibility.
